Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 11, 2026

sendbulkemail ("the Software") is a free application that allows you to send bulk emails via the Gmail API. You may optionally create an account to access advanced features. This Privacy Policy describes how the Software collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

1.1 Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Google OAuth, we collect and store your name and email address on our server to manage your account.
1.2 Sender Email Address: When you send emails through the Software, the email address of the sender (your Gmail address) is stored on our server as part of the campaign record.
1.3 Recipient Email Addresses: The email addresses of the recipients you send to are stored on our server as part of the campaign record.
1.4 Campaign Metadata: Email subject lines and recipient counts are stored on our server for each campaign.
1.5 Tracking Data: When recipients open your emails or click links, we may collect their IP address, user agent, timestamp, and clicked URL (see Section 4).
1.6 The Software does not require account registration to send emails. However, campaign data (including sender and recipient email addresses) is stored on our server even for unauthenticated users. Campaign data created without an account is automatically deleted after 24 hours unless claimed by creating an account (see Section 7).

2. LOCAL AND SERVER DATA STORAGE

2.1 Draft content you enter into the Software — including email body content and templates — is stored locally on your device using browser storage.
2.2 When you initiate a send, campaign data (sender email, recipient emails, subject line) is transmitted to and stored on our server.
2.3 Account and session data for signed-in users is stored on our server database.
2.4 You are responsible for the security and management of your locally stored data.

3. ANALYTICS

3.1 The Software may use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to collect anonymous, de-identified usage statistics.
3.2 This analytics data may include information such as page views, feature usage patterns, browser type, and general geographic region, but does not include any personally identifiable information.
3.3 Analytics data is used solely to understand how the Software is used and to improve its functionality.

4. EMAIL TRACKING

4.1 The Software embeds a small invisible tracking pixel in sent emails to detect when a recipient opens the email.
4.2 Links in sent emails may be routed through the Software's server to detect when a recipient clicks a link, before redirecting to the original URL.
4.3 Tracking data collected may include: IP address, user agent (browser/device information), timestamp of the event, and the URL clicked.
4.4 This tracking data is used to provide campaign analytics (e.g., open rates, click rates) to the sender.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

5.1 The Software allows you to send emails through the Gmail API. While sender and recipient email addresses and subject lines are stored on our server for campaign tracking, the full email body content is not stored on or relayed through our server.
5.2 Your use of third-party email services is subject to the respective privacy policies of those providers.

6. GOOGLE USER DATA

6.1 Data Accessed: When you connect your Google account, the Software accesses your Gmail sending capability through the Gmail API. This includes your email address and the ability to send emails on your behalf. No other Google user data (such as contacts, calendar, or drive files) is accessed.
6.2 Data Usage: Your Google user data is used to send emails as instructed by you and to associate campaigns with your account. Your sender email address is stored on our server as part of campaign records.
6.3 Data Sharing: Your Google user data is never shared with any third parties.
6.4 Data Storage & Protection: Gmail OAuth tokens used for sending emails are stored on your local device and are never transmitted to our server. If you sign in with Google for account features, your session data is stored on our server database. The Software does not store your Google password.
6.5 Data Retention & Deletion: Gmail OAuth tokens are retained on your local device only while you choose to keep them. You may revoke access at any time by disconnecting your Google account within the Software or by visiting your Google Account permissions at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Upon revocation, all stored tokens are removed from your device.

7. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

7.1 Campaign data created by unauthenticated users (identified by a guest token) is automatically deleted 24 hours after creation if the user does not create an account and claim the campaign.
7.2 Campaign data for authenticated users is retained until the user requests deletion or deletes their account.
7.3 Tracking event data (opens, clicks) is retained as long as the associated campaign exists.
7.4 To request deletion of your data, please contact the author through the Software's official repository or website.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

8.1 The Software is not directed at children under the age of 13.
8.2 We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

9.1 The author reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time.
9.2 Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
9.3 Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

10. CONTACT

10.1 If you have questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy, please contact the author through the Software's official repository or website.
